The International Day of Yoga was first adopted by the United Nations in 2014 and it is a recognition and celebration of the physical and mental wellness benefits of yoga.
In practicing yoga, we come together as one humanity with one goal of healthy body and mind. Yoga has connected communities and people, and it has enriched the lives of many in teaching and learning to practice yoga. It also has the potential to unite everyone and make a better world for all.
Let’s celebrate yoga together, irrespective of age, gender, race and any other differences. Let’s unite everyone for a cause – a healthy body and joyful mind through yoga.

Love 21 is a charity empowering the Down syndrome, autistic, and neurodiverse community to reach their full potential through sports, nutrition, and other holistic support programs. As part of our holistic programme to address the needs of the caregivers and parents of our community, we have offered regular yoga classes for the caregivers in our community for the past five years.

At the Cancer Fund we believe that overcoming cancer takes more than medicine alone. Cancer patients and survivors who exercise can potentially benefit from reduced levels of fatigue, and improved quality of life, physical function, and maintaining a healthy weight. It can help them to tolerate treatment, endure side effects, reduce anxiety and increase mental fortitude.
